Feature Type:
Website QA.
Released:
2018.
I worked as a Quality Assurance Analyst on SEAT’s global and multi-regional websites, giving support to Content Managers and Designers validating page implementations and giving extensive pixel-perfect bug reports.
SEAT’s website operated at scale, with frequent releases across multiple markets, while undergoing a major transition to a new design system with redesigned homepage and product page layouts. The challenge was to ensure that these foundational changes were implemented consistently and reliably across browsers, devices, and localized versions.
Challenge
I worked closely with content managers, designers, and external developers in the transition of SEAT's new digital branding, bringing a design- and functional-focused approach to validation, testing and documentation of new components and layouts of the design system across multiple localized versions of the website.
Solution
Feature Type: Website QA.
Released: 2018.
The transition to the new design system was rolled out consistently across global and localized versions of the website, reducing visual and functional inconsistencies. This strengthened the alignment between design and implementation and minimized rework during ongoing updates.
Outcome
My Contributions
Validated new components, homepage, and product page layouts across multiple localized websites.
Reported and tracked issues with clear, actionable detail, helping developers, content managers and desginers address defects efficiently and maintain release quality.
Performed functional, regression, and cross-browser/device testing to maintain reliability and performance.
Contributed to the design system and component documentation, clarifying specifications and usage rules.
Designed documentation of reusable AEM 6 components to guide developers in implementing features consistently.
